Folder Maker - Batch Creation of Folders and Files
If you are the type of computer user that has to deal with a lot of files on a daily basis, or a user that needs rapid file cataloguing or standardized file and folder names, or if you are a music lover with a ton of MP3s at your disposal, or a webmaster, then you may find the functionality provided by Folder Maker useful.
This Skyjuice Software-developed application weighs in at little over 4MB, so downloading it will definitely not take forever. The download should complete in a few seconds, assuming of course you’re on a high-speed internet connection. The installation process is equally fast – and simple. I counted five or six mouse clicks in total.
Speaking of installing software applications, you should not have a problem installing Folder Maker on your Windows operating system. The application should install without a problem no matter what version of the Microsoft-developed operating system you’re using.
Once up and running, the application can be used to create file and folders. What did you expect? The application is called Folder Maker after all. The easy to figure out interface (not pretty, just easy to figure out) can be used to easily and effortlessly create dozens of files or folders.
In the user interface you have all the options to make this a reality. Right at the top you have the “Creation Settings” section where you get to choose what type of file or folder you would like to create. There’s a dropdown that offers the following options: Folders Normal, Folders CSV, Files Normal, Files CSV. Let’s say you selected Folders Normal. Now move on to the “Folder Name” section underneath and select a prefix and a postfix for the folders you want to create. Then select the number of folders you would like to create and the value from which the counting will start. In the “Create Folders In…” section select the location where the folders will be created. Then click “Create Folder(s)” and you’re done.
Folder Maker is a nice tool to have if you need to easily and swiftly create a lot of files or folders.
